THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Project Engineer to join our Engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning, delivering innovative plant and equipment solutions for a diverse range of clients.
Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This position includes site visits and occasional travel as part of project delivery.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Manage end-to-end project delivery, including design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
Coordinate project schedules, budgets and technical deliverables to achieve successful project outcomes.
Review and approve engineering documentation, including P&IDs;, process calculations, functional descriptions and technical specifications.
Provide technical support to internal teams throughout project delivery and commissioning.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are achieved.
Assist with the preparation of technical proposals and tender submissions.
Ensure all project activities comply with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications, budgets,



timelines and company quality requirements.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across engineering processes and project delivery.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates with:
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience delivering engineering projects within water, wastewater, industrial, manufacturing or similar process industries.
Demonstrated experience managing projects from design through to commissioning.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, including P&IDs;, process calculations and technical specifications.
Experience interpreting and applying relevant Australian Standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
A strong commitment to HSEQ principles and continuous improvement.
Previous experience in the water and wastewater industry will be highly regarded.
