About the Role
Reporting to theTeam Leader – Community Infrastructure & Open Space Planning, you will co-lead community infrastructure planning across the municipality and supervise a small specialist team.
You will play a key role in developing infrastructure strategies, concept plans, master plans and capital works priorities that align with Council objectives and community aspirations.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the development and implementation of community infrastructure strategies and plans.
Managing and mentoring the Community Infrastructure Planning team.
Preparing and prioritising Capital Works Program nominations.
Developing concept plans and master plans for community facilities.
Managing planning projects to agreed scope, budget and timelines.
Identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities and grant programs.
Providing specialist advice to Council and senior leaderships.
Building strong relationships with community groups, government agencies and stakeholders.
Supporting high-quality customer service and community engagement outcomes.
About You
You are a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong background in community infrastructure planning, social planning, urban planning or a related discipline.
You have a track record of delivering complex planning projects and enjoy working across competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Degree or diploma in Social Planning, Urban Planning or a related field
Significant experience in community infrastructure planning, preferably within local government
Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience
Strong project management skills and experience delivering complex projects
Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
