About the Role
The Customer and Commercial Operations division brings together Adelaide Festival Centre's public-facing services and commercial operations including hospitality, ticketing, patron services, retail, tours and volunteering.
The Ticketing Team are responsible for end‐to‐end ticketing services across Adelaide Festival Centre venues and events, delivered in partnership with an external Ticketing Service Provider.
The department provides specialist ticketing advice to Programming and Marketing, venue hirers, home companies, and the executive team, and manage ticketing processes to support accurate service delivery, positive customer experiences, and the achievement of commercial revenue outcomes.
The Senior Ticketing Officer delivers specialist ticketing coordination and advice for Adelaide Festival Centre and venue hirer events.
The role works autonomously to manage an assigned ticketing portfolio, ensuring accurate event set‐up, reporting, and reconciliation in partnership with the external Ticketing Service Provider.
Reporting to the Ticketing Executive, this position plays a fundamental role in providing expertise across a broad range of activities to promoters and venue hirers to place events on sale with the Ticketing Services Provider whilst managing competing deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Represent Adelaide Festival Centre in a professional,



specialist context to manage the end-to-end process of building events and the ongoing maintenance and support of ticketing sales with the Ticketing Service Provider, while liaising with hirers for changes and commercial approval
Provide specialist oversight to ensure NEN (New Event Notification) documents are completed accurately and to a high standard
Positively influence internal and external stakeholder relationships with the external Ticketing Service Provider by modelling partnership‐focused communication and engagement
Communicate effectively with the Ticketing Service Provider regarding all AFC presenting events
Be responsible for embedding consistent ticketing processes and independently managing and prioritising competing workloads across multiple concurrent events and deadlines
Make and communicate informed decisions, based on professional judgement, relating to ticketing, box office activities and venue procedures for promoters, hirers and programmers in a complex operating environment
Manage the collaborative flow of ticketing content information between hirers and the Festival Centre marketing team related to the production of brochures to ensure the accuracy of promotional material
Keep abreast of developments in the arts, sports, and entertainment industries
Identify the reporting needs of venue hirers and the Festival Centre programming team and, within the Ticketing Services Provider's reporting framework, set up, schedule and maintain reports to meet those needs, including analysing more complex data
Skills & Experience
Sales and customer service experience in a ticketing environment
Experience and developed skills in the use of ticketing/sales platforms and customer relationship management systems
Attention to detail,



high level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the AFC's ticketing provider
Advanced communication and negotiation skills
Strong analysis and insight skills relating to statistical data, sales figures, and patterns
Conflict resolution and communication skills
Tertiary qualifications in arts management, education or related areas (Desirable)
Passion for and/or experience in the performing arts (Highly Desirable)
