The Good Grocer is looking for a highly motivated and strategic Merchandising Specialist to join our Support Office team and help shape the future of our stores.
As part of our dynamic team, you'll be responsible for bringing group initiatives to market across our fresh food and own-brand ranges through exceptional in-store execution.
This includes merchandising, supporting category management, launching new products and building long-term supplier relationships.
This role will help ensure our product offering meets customer demand while strengthening our position as one of WA's leading fresh food retailers.
We are particularly seeking someone with retail food experience across fresh departments such as deli, bakery, ready-to-eat and food production.
You'll support the execution of our core range while helping deliver exceptional product presentation, merchandising standards and innovative fresh food offers that enhance our reputation for quality and convenience.
Working closely with our Buying and in store teams, you'll provide merchandising support that aligns with our commercial strategy and business priorities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Supplier & Relationship Management:Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality products, competitive pricing and exclusive opportunities.
Store & Merchandising Support: Partner with store teams to optimise product presentation, pricing, merchandising standards and new product launches across Fresh and The Good Grocer Collection.
Range Development:Support the development and execution of core and store-specific ranges across fresh departments and food production.




Pricing & Promotions:Execute promotional programs that align with the group's pricing strategy while driving sales and profitability.
Brand & Innovation:Support the rollout of The Good Grocer Collection and help bring innovative new products to market.
Sustainability & Local Sourcing:Champion local suppliers and sustainable product choices that resonate with our customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with Operations, Buying, Marketing and Store teams to improve productivity, strengthen market positioning and drive operational excellence.
Performance & Accountability:Support the achievement of departmental budgets, KPIs and commercial objectives.
You'll have a genuine passion for food and innovation and enjoy delivering exceptional merchandising standards while achieving commercial outcomes and creating outstanding customer experiences.
Skills & Experience
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Experience leading merchandising execution and bringing products to market within a supermarket or fresh food environment.
Strong eye for detail with a passion for delivering exceptional in-store standards.
Demonstrated negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong understanding of consumer trends, pricing and customer purchasing behaviour.




Ability to interpret financial data and sales performance to support commercial decisions.
Experience managing product ranges, pricing architecture and current product introductions.
Professional and confident communication skills, including telephone manner.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, work independently, solve problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
