About the Role
The Community Engagement & Stakeholder Officer plays a vital role in strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, stakeholders and partner organisations.
You will support community engagement activities, membership growth initiatives, events and community participation across RAATSIC's programs and service locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Support and coordinate community events, engagement activities and outreach initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Elders, Traditional Owners, community members and stakeholders.
• Represent RAATSIC at community meetings, events and stakeholder forums.
• Support membership drives and activities that strengthen community participation.
• Assist with planning and delivery of engagement projects and organisational initiatives.
• Contribute to workforce recruitment and community awareness activities.
About You
• We are seeking anAboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander personto join our team in this Identified position to support our commitment to self-determination, cultural safety, and improved outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.




The successful applicant will bring cultural knowledge, community connection, and lived experience that will contribute to culturally safe and responsive services.
This position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants under a lawful special measure.
• A strong understanding of culturally safe Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement practice.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Existing networks and relationships within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Cape York.
• Experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement, community development or relationship management.
• Certificate IV or higher qualification in Community Services, Community Development, Human Services, Business, Communications or related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Capacity to travel across RAATSIC business locations, including remote communities.
• Ability to work outside standard business hours when required.
• Well-developed organisational and coordination skills.
• Commitment to culturally protected practice and positive community outcomes.
• Holds a current C Class Queensland Drivers License.
• Hold or is willing to obtain prior to employment a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
