About the role
We are seeking aSales Assistantto join the team at Bob Jane T-Marts Moonah.
This is afull-time positionbased inMoonah, Tasmania.
As a Sales Assistant, you will be at the heart of our retail operations, providing exceptional customer service and support to our sales team.
You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping environment whilst helping customers find the products they need.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your retail skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting within one of Australia's leading automotive retailers.
What you'll be doing
Greeting customers warmly and providing friendly, professional assistance on the showroom floor
Identifying customer needs and recommending products based on these needs
Processing customer transactions at the till, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Maintaining showroom displays
Supporting the wider sales team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally and courteously
Keeping the store clean and tidy, maintaining high standards of presentation
Assisting with stock management, including receiving and checking deliveries
Adhering to health and safety procedures and company policies at all times
What we're looking for
Previous experience in an automotive environment is desirable but not essential
Solid communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with diverse customers
A friendly, approachable demeanour and genuine enthusiasm for customer service
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues
Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift or move stock as required




Basic numeracy skills and comfort with point-of-sale systems
Flexibility to work shifts, including potential weekend or evening hours
Willingness to learn about products and develop product knowledge
