About Able U
Able Uprovides disability services to NDIS participants in the Macedon Ranges.
Our mission is to facilitate community integration and participation opportunities for individuals living with disabilities in our region.
Each support worker at Able U is highly esteemed and plays a pivotal role in our team dynamics.
Located in Kyneton, our Client Support Enhancing Centre (CSEC) provides a variety of dedicated spaces, including a social lounge, movement room, and versatile multi-purpose area.
Designed to enrich our personalized 1:1 support services, the CSEC is accessible to all Able U clients during their sessions with our support workers.

The Position
As we are a smaller country provider, we look for specific characteristics in our support workers that will fit within our values and thrive in a collaborative team workplace.
This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, patient, creative, energetic, and above all, adept at engaging in and sustaining conversations.
Successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting individuals with various aspects of daily life, promoting community integration, and facilitating participation in activities that enhance quality of life.
Responsibilities will encompass administering medications, providing personal care with dignity and respect, preparing nutritious meals, assisting with household chores, and aiding in shopping tasks.
Additionally, duties will involve offering support to promote overall health and well-being,



ensuring individuals are empowered to live independently and participate fully in their community.
Be available a minimum of 15 hours per week across at least 4 days, including 1 weekend day.
Varying shifts between the hours of 6am-8pm
Working across the Macedon Ranges.
Immediate start available upon signing of contract
You will be provided with:
A supportive team that works to together to provide the best outcomes for our clients.
App-based rostering and payroll system for efficiency.
Ongoing training and induction on organizational policies, procedures, and industry compliance protocols
Ongoing training and development opportunities.
Staff supplies such as PPE, First Aid supplies, etc.
Recognition and adaptation to support worker requirements and preferences.

Skills & experience
Ideally possess Certificate III (or higher) in arelevant industry qualification; however, candidates with life experience in disability care or a strong desire to gain industry skills will be considered.
CurrentFirst Aid and CPRCertificate or willingness to obtain
Working with Children Checkor willing to obtainAND
NDIS Worker Screening Checkor willingness to obtain
ValidDriver's Licensewith reliable, fully insured vehicle
Interviews will be conducted on the 30th and 31st of July, with the successful candidate available to commence by the 7th of August.
