The Opportunity
We're seeking a full-time Processing Workshop Manager to lead the Laser & Bandsaw workshop team at our Bibra Lake site.
This Processing Workshop holds two high powered Fibre Lasers (60kw being the most powerful in Australia), a range of Bandsaws as well as new finishing/deburring machines.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the execution, quality, and efficiency of all processing activity — from works order scheduling through to finished product ready for delivery to
customers.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Leading Customer Service & Workshop Productivity
Schedule & manage the execution of all works orders against company DIFOT targets and customer requirements.
Providing customers with excellent turnaround times for their custom jobs.
Liaise closely with the Scheduling & Nesting team to keep jobs flowing and maximising torch time.
Manage storage of offcuts & remnants, stocktaking & ensuring inventory compliance.
Ensuring Quality
This is precision cutting of metal with high-powered machines — it demands a focused, technical approach to getting the best out of every machine
Set and manage quality standards across cut quality, product finish, marking, and packaging
Manage and develop machine parameters relative to material grade and thickness




Ensure processed product is correctly marked and packaged for identification, safe transport, and compliance with SPS specifications
Leading the Team
Lead, organise & mentor the Processing team — rostering, scheduling, training, and development
Champion a strong safety culture across all processing activities
Own team procedures and order processing accuracy
Leading the Machines
Own machine maintenance — book, organise, and record servicing and repairs to ISO **** standard
Minimise downtime and maximise torch time: troubleshoot issues and breakdowns, and keep staff informed
Champion new technology, machine modifications, and continuous improvement in cutting performance and efficiency
Maintain stock of machinery consumables, ancillary equipment, and parts, and ensure all MHE and rigging equipment is certified and current
Responsibilities are not limited to those listed above.
What We're Looking For
Strong understanding of machine processing (profile Laser, Deburring & Bandsaw), CNC systems, and job card/workshop documentation Strong understanding of — and commitment to — customer expectations around finished product integrity, quality, finish, packaging, and DIFOT
Strong leadership & managerial skills, the ability to manage, mentor & promoting a Safe work setting
Strong prioritising & communication skills
High attention to detail & focus on quality & productivity
Competent use of CAD processing systems
High competency in laser cutting
Dogman's Certificate
LF Forklift Licence
