We are looking for a reliable and versatile maintenance professional to help us keep the property looking its absolute best.
The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Handyman to join our operations team.
In this role, you will be the go-to person for the day-to-day physical upkeep of the resort grounds, apartment fixtures, and common areas.
You will work closely with our front-of-house and housekeeping teams to ensure that both preventative maintenance and reactive guest requests are handled quickly and professionally.
Whether you are fixing a door hinge, touching up paint, or doing the morning perimeter walk, you will take ownership of the resort's presentation.
What You'll Be Doing
General Repairs:Perform a wide variety of basic maintenance tasks across the resort, including minor carpentry, painting, basic plumbing, and hardware fixes within guest apartments.
Preventative Upkeep:Conduct daily walks to inspect outdoor areas, BBQ facilities, pathways, and common spaces, ensuring a high standard of safety and presentation.
Pool Assistance:Assist with the daily upkeep of our four resort swimming pools (skimming, chemical checks, and basic plant room operations).
Note: Pool experience is a bonus, but not strictly required.

Guest Experience:Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor while in guest-facing areas.
Digital Tracking:Log completed tasks, track repairs, and manage daily checklists using our integrated workforce and property management apps (such as Tanda, Deputy, or Guesty).
Basic Requirements
Experience:Proven background in a handyman, facilities, trades, or general maintenance role.
Experience in a resort, hotel, or village management environment is highly regarded.
WHS & Certifications:A valid Queensland White Card (General Construction Induction) and a solid understanding of secure workplace practices.
Licence:A current, open Driver's Licence.
Physical Fitness:Ability to handle the physical demands of working across a sprawling 11-acre tropical property.
Problem Solver:A proactive mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and know when to call in specialized contractors.
Bonus Skills:Previous commercial pool maintenance experience (or an Aquatic Technical Operator short course).
