About the role
Dream House Music School is seeking an experienced and passionateDrum Teacherto join our team on acontract basis.
Based inMile End SA ****, this role offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise in percussion and drums with students of varying ages and abilities.
As a Drum Teacher, you will be instrumental in developing the musical talents of our students whilst fostering a love for rhythm and percussion that will inspire their lifelong musical journey.
This position is central to our mission of providing high-quality music education and creating an engaging learning environment for all our students.
Key responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging drum and percussion lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, tailored to individual learning needs and goals
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their musical development
Prepare students for examinations, recitals and performance opportunities, building their confidence and stage presence
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and achievements
Create a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
Recommend appropriate repertoire and learning materials that match each student's ability and interests
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any areas requiring additional support
Contribute to the school's recitals, performances and special events as required
Stay current with contemporary teaching methodologies and percussion techniques
