****About the role**MSS Security is seeking a **Part-Time** Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at **Ballina Airport**.
As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
**Duties include but are not limited to:*** Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors* Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems.
* Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items, dangerous goods, and security threats.




* Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks.
**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.
* Strong communication and customer service skills .
* Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
* 24/7 availability required.
