ColourFull Abilitiesis an organisation that focuses on the coming together of people from multiple diverse groups in particular people with a disability and members of LGBTQIA+ communities.
We aim to increase social and community participation for individuals with a NDIS plan, and provide a safe space for people to accept themselves for who they are whilst achieving their personal goals.
We service Kaurna (Adelaide plains) and Peramangk (Adelaide Hills) lands.

The Role
To engage with external stakeholders in a way that is representative of the culture and vision of ColourFull Abilities.
The Community & Training Officer is integral to the growth and development of the organisation, as well community knowledge and understanding of the intersectionality of disability and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Core objectives include:
Representing ColourFull Abilitiesat external networking events
Initiating, engaging and/or maintaining relationships with external stakeholders for the benefit of ColourFull Abilities
Developing and reviewing Inclusivity Training content
Presenting and facilitating Inclusivity Training to internal and external attendees
Coordinate or provide support to the development, activities and/or research of relevant ColourFull Abilities' projects and initiatives
Administration and marketing support follow-up as needed before, during and after events and/or projects
Marketing support as required
Ad hoc event management or support
Commit to ensuring that children and young people are safe from harm or risk of harm,



valued and respected (see Child Safety Policy)

Role Specifications
Formal qualifications in adult training, marketing, social media and/or business is well regarded
Experience in a similar role/s highly regarded
Mental Health First Aid certification (essential)
LGBTQIA+ and/or disability sector lived and/or work experience (desirable)
Experience in hosting stalls and/or organising small scale events
Experience developing/facilitating adult learning
Strong understandings of:
LGBTQIA+ communities; especially in relation to the intersections of LGBTQIA+ and disability (essential)
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) understanding for the scope of the role (desirable)
Proven experience with Google Workplace (essential)
Proven experience with Canva, Meta, LinkedIn (desirable)
NDIS Check (essential before commencement)
Relevant Police Check (essential before commencement)
Driver's licence (desirable)
Current First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR (HLTAID009) certifications (essential before commencement)
Completion of all NDIS Quality & Safety Commission training - please find the link to the courses here: / (essential before commencement)

Public speaker: ability to confidently convey complex information to a group of training attendees, and an ability to field complex questions.
Teamwork: proven ability to work in a changing work environment and to work both independently and part of a team.
Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.
