Role Summary:The Lease Administration and Compliance Officer is responsible for the coordination, administration and monitoring of all lease and property related matters across the state.
This role supports operational and financial performance by ensuring lease compliance, accurate record keeping, and effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage a central register of all lease agreements, including critical dates, terms and financial obligations
Monitor lease expiry dates, option periods, rent reviews, and CPI adjustments to ensure timely action and compliance
Assist in the preparation and coordination of lease negotiations, renewals, and new site agreements in collaboration with senior management
Liaise with landlords, property managers, and legal representatives regarding lease terms, variations and disputes
Coordinate documentation and approvals for recent site establishments, relocations, and closures
Support financial processes including rent payments, invoicing queries and reconciliation of lease related costs to the general ledger for IFRS accounting standard compliance
Provide reporting on lease portfolio performance,
risks and upcoming obligations to management
Work closely with operational teams to align lease arrangements with service delivery needs and site performance
Assist with risk management by identifying potential lease liabilities or financial exposures
Required Attributes:
1. Experience in administration, preferably within property, leasing or healthcare environments
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites and competing deadlines
3. High attention to detail, particularly in contract and financial data management
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
5. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, discretion and sound judgement
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive commercial information
8. Ability to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis
