Overview
Join a purpose‐driven environment where your logistics capability directly enhances safety, readiness, and mission success.
Play a key role in supporting evolving Navy operational needs, applying your logistics expertise to real‐world, mission‐critical activities.
The team works Monday to Friday from Waverton.
Your New Role And Responsibilities
As the prime systems integrator, Leidos delivers Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA) capability to the Royal Australian Navy through deployable systems that quickly collect and distribute maritime environmental data vital for safe operations in unfamiliar waters and missions such as disaster response, amphibious operations and mine countermeasures.
This position supports the Navy's logistics needs, including preparing shipments for disaster recovery activities in Australia and the Pacific Region, and working with Navy logistics staff to move material around Australia.
A typical day can change on a moment's notice; you will pivot to meet customer needs as they arise, ensuring material to the REA capability is serviceable, reliable and operationally available in the shortest possible timeframes.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee end‐to‐end supply support activities for systems delivered by Leidos, ensuring service levels and client requirements are met.
Conduct stocktakes; maintain accurate inventory records, movement tracking, and asset accounting in line with Defence standards.
Execute timely issuing/receipting of stock items and system kits; manage warehousing, storage, handling, and distribution—including care, preservation, and maintenance of items while in storage.
Determine 'end‐user' equipment demand, considering availability of serviceable equipment and planned maintenance schedules; use Defence inventory systems and regular dialogue with defence logistics staff.

Fulfill external shipping where required to facilitate repair or calibration by external vendors.
Develop sparing recommendations to sustain system availability and initiate necessary procurement actions in accordance with policy and process; prepare materials for program progress meetings, reporting supply status, risks, and corrective actions.
What You'll Bring To Make An Impact
Solid capability in stocktaking, issuing/receipting, asset accounting, and warehouse operations.
Able to determine requirements (RIs vs Non‐RIs), develop sparing recommendations, and think on your feet to contribute to team‐based solutions.
Demonstrated experience supporting maintenance teams, including spares management, stock control, and client service delivery.
Experience in working with Enterprise Resourcing Planning Software.
Desirable
LF forklift licence and/or experience with dangerous goods handling.
Experience with lean warehousing or continuous improvement in supply operations.
Understanding of preservation/packaging standards and transport coordination.
Knowledge of Defence supply chain compliance, care‐of‐stock in storage, and safe manual handling/warehouse practices; commitment to accurate documentation and audit readiness.
Additional Requirements
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and the ability to obtain and hold a Defence security clearance.
Australian citizenship and clearance are mandatory.
Candidates who meet most qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Commitment to Non‐Discrimination
Leidos Australia is an equal opportunities organisation and is committed to creating a truly inclusive workplace.
We welcome and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, culturally and linguistically diverse people, people with disabilities, veterans, neurodiverse people, and people of all genders, sexualities, and age groups.
We are also committed to providing a recruitment process accessible to all candidates.
