About the role
Brice Sheet & Coil is seeking aTransport Coordinatorto join our energetic team on afull-time basisat our Cavan facility.
As a Transport Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to co-ordinate our drivers in the most effective and cost-efficient way as to maintain and improve our on-time deliveries and reduce our transport costs.
You will be coordinating incoming and outgoing trucks and prepare truck runs for the following day.
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for reliability and service excellence within the steel industry.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate customer deliveries by working closely with the Sales and Warehouse teams to ensure orders are delivered on time.
Schedule transport pickups and liaise with transport providers to meet customer delivery requirements.
Maintain accurate despatch documentation and manage delivery schedule changes as required.
Assist with annual stocktakes when required
Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the despatch function
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in a transport coordination role
Experience within the steel industry will be an advantage




Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of liaising effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
Knowledge of transport regulations, load restraint and COR
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to respond quickly to changes in transport demand and operational challenges
