We are on the lookout for a practical and proactive Trainee Designer to join our growing team based at our office in the Brisbane CBD.
Applicants should have a passion to learn and a keen interest in mineral processing, and want to work on significant projects across a wide variety of commodities.
You will be part of a team and be mentored by experienced designers and engineers across a range of disciplines and projects, enabling you to launch your professional career and quickly develop the skills required to fast‐track your career progression.

Exposure to all disciplines of design within the GRES organisation.
Exposure to the project team, including project managers, to appreciate what it takes to deliver a project on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities you will learn
Assisting with the preparation of 2D and 3D design deliverables using CAD software.
Utilising engineering specifications and standards to perform design tasks.
Supporting Designers and Discipline Engineering with design preparation.
Effectively communicating with the project team, providing updates, raising issues and attending team meetings where required.
To be eligible
A relevant TAFE qualification, Cert IV or Diploma in Engineering, Design, Drafting.
Experience with 3D parametric software and AutoCAD is desirable but not essential.
Strong desire to build a career as a draftsperson/designer.
Ability to work in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
High level of written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills using the Microsoft Office suite.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, and have full working rights at the time of application – applicants without full and unrestricted working rights will not be considered.
