Application Engineer - Graduate Application Engineer Team

What You'll Work On
This role is focused on the customer facing sales and technical support activities (internal and external) within the CSA Application Engineer Team.
Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements,



and design, deliver and support solutions to a high level of expertise within the constraints of budget, timing and resources.
You'll Support Your Team by Performing the Following Key Tasks
Educate clients on how to use CSA products and services.
Generate quotes and check sales orders.
Work through client Campbell Scientific instrumentation and related software issues and challenges.
Initiate and receive phone calls and ensure appropriate follow up to close out issues.
Troubleshoot client issues and provide effective solutions
Execute and coordinate assigned internal projects as agreed.
Coordinate with AE remote workers to execute requested tasks
With mentoring from other AEs, be responsible for pre-wire system testing
Perform side project activities as needed by the AE team
Assisting Lead with planning and delivery of Environmental products and services
Assist with tender preparation
What We're Looking For
Skills & Abilities:
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ideally experience of working with vendors, clients and team members
Well presented, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
An ability to quickly absorb and understand complex technical information
An ability to understand scientific principles underlying measurements and instrument operation in target market




Ability to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines
A commitment to working within timeframes to reach a target or objective
Able to contribute and participate in a technical team environment
Reliable work ethic and a detail focus
An ability to design and communicate effective solutions relevant to the target market
Knowledge:
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of productivity software, including MS Teams.
Ideally some experience using Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce.
Ability to collaborate closely with remote team members.
An understanding of quality and continuous improvement frameworks.
An appreciation and understanding of safety in the workplace.
An appreciation and understanding of equality and diversity in the workplace.
Education & Qualifications:
BS degree in Science, Marketing, or Engineering field or equivalent experience.
Ideally some experience in Technical Proposal Response, Application Management, Customer Technical Support, Sales, Marketing, or in a user role in the instrumentation market
An affiliation with a scientific related field preferable
