Job Description
Wisdom Services Pty Ltd Wisdom is looking for experienced Cablers.
You are required to have hands on structured cabling experience on diverse projects including data cables.
Knowledge of relevant Cabler activities like installing and joining cables, erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables.

Task & responsibilities Performed optical fibre installation activities, including preparation, safe handling, hygiene compliance, and termination of ribbon and multi-core fibre cables.
Interpreted technical drawings, specifications, and site requirements to determine the correct positioning, routing, and connection of telecommunications equipment.
Joined and terminated telecommunications cables, sealed cable sheaths using lead and thermoplastic materials, and carried out fusion splicing of optical fibre cables.
Installed structured cabling systems to support network data, radio communications, and computer transmission infrastructure.
Installed, configured, and connected telecommunications equipment, including switchboards, data transmission systems, and associated network hardware.
Integrated Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Fibre to the Building (FTTB),



and Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) network infrastructure and equipment.
Conducted Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) testing to verify fibre integrity, identify faults, and ensure network performance.
Diagnosed and rectified faults in telecommunications equipment using specialised testing instruments, including ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters, and transmission measuring devices.
Installed, tested, and maintained both aerial and underground telecommunications cabling to ensure reliable network connectivity.
Performed safety and quality inspections, identified non-conformances, and prepared reports to support compliance with workplace standards and project quality requirements.
Qualification & experience 2 years of relevant work experience.
Certificate IV or Diploma qualification preferred At least two (3) years of relevant prior experience will be required if no formal qualification.
Willing to travel.
