Are you passionate about meaningful engagement and creating positive outcomes for First Nations Peoples? We're seeking an experienced Senior Engagement Advisor to join our team and play a key role in strengthening our organisation's engagement practice and capability.
The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural, and environmental advantages that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and freshwater country.
The ILSC has an opportunity for a Senior Engagement Advisor to join our Strategy and Engagement team. In this role, you will lead the development of best-practice engagement approaches, provide expert advice and support to teams, and coordinatesignificant consultation processes that strengthen relationships with First Nations Peoples and other key stakeholders.
This is primarily an internal-facing role. You will design how the ILSC engages and build the capability of our teams to do it well. If you are energised by building the systems and capability that make engagement better, this is the role for you.
Under the direction of the Manager, Strategy and Engagement, you will:
Lead the development and continuous improvement of the organisation's engagement framework,



tools and resources to embed consistent, culturally appropriate engagement practices across the ILSC.
Design, coordinate and evaluate significant engagement and consultation processes, providing expert advice and ensuring engagement activities are meaningful, effective and aligned with organisational and statutory requirements.
Build organisational capability by providing specialist advice, training and practical support to staff undertaking engagement and consultation activities.
Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of stakeholder relationship management systems and processes, supporting organisational capability and effective stakeholder engagement.
Work collaboratively across the ILSC to strengthen engagement practice, foster strategic partnerships and contribute to the delivery of positive social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for First Nations Peoples.
