Abut the role
Reporting to the Club Manager, the Sports Competitions Coordinator, classified as a
General Activities Coordinator
under our Enterprise Agreement,
plays a vital role in planning and delivering PCYC activities and programs. You'll coordinate staff, design programs, support daily Club operations, and help make our Clubs a hub of activity, belonging, and opportunity.
You will:
Lead the planning and delivery of after-school, holiday, and term-based programs.
Support Club operations by assisting with rostering, program delivery, and analysis.
Supervise activities and engage with members, visitors, and local community groups.
Provide excellent customer service at the front desk, including responding to enquiries, managing bookings and processing memberships.
Ensure safe environments for all participants and staff, in line with PCYC's policies and child safety practices.
Promote Club activities within the local community through outreach, marketing, and partnerships.
Report on program participation and performance to support continuous improvement.
Maintain equipment, facilities, and ensure programs meet compliance standards.
Assist with general club administration, including greeting members, resolving enquiries, handling phone and email communications, and supporting merchandise and canteen sales.
Have experience coordinating sports competitions
Have First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain within 3 months

About You
You're an energetic and community-minded leader who thrives in dynamic, people-focused environments. You enjoy designing and running engaging programs, connecting with youth and families, and making a difference in your local area.
You will have:
A strong alignment with PCYC NSW's values: Respect, Community, Integrity, Commitment and Resilience.
Experience delivering sport, recreation, or education programs in community settings.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong organisation and time management skills, with an eye for detail.
Confidence working independently and leading others.
A current Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Relevant qualifications such as Cert III or IV in Fitness, a coaching accreditation, or equivalent experience.
