As ourVisual Media Specialist, your primary role will be to capture high-quality photo and video content that showcases the work, people and purpose of Paylos.
This is a field-based content capture role.
You will spend most of your time filming and photographing participants, programs, four-wheel drive adventures, community activities, events and real-life stories.
Your responsibility is to capture engaging, authentic content and organise it for handover to our offshore media team, who will complete the editing and post-production.
However, this role is about much more than creating content.
At Paylos, we believe media has the power to build belonging, change perceptions, inspire hope and create opportunities for people who have experienced trauma, social disadvantage, exclusion and/or living with a disability.
You will help tell stories that highlight ability rather than disability, celebrate personal achievements, and demonstrate the positive impact that meaningful community participation can have on a person's life.
An exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to mentor participants who have an interest in photography and videography.
By involving participants in the creative process, you will help develop practical skills that can lead to future employment opportunities.
As our social enterprise grows, participants may progress from appearing in content, to assisting with filming, and ultimately creating media for local businesses as part of supported employment pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Capture high-quality video and photography across Paylos programs, services and events.
Film community activities, outdoor adventures, participant stories and social media content.
Produce engaging raw content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok,



LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
Capture interviews, testimonials and documentary-style storytelling with professionalism and sensitivity.
Organise, catalogue and upload footage for editing by our offshore media team.
Work collaboratively with the marketing and leadership teams to plan future content.
Support and mentor participants who are interested in developing photography and videography skills.
Maintain and care for cameras, audio equipment and other media gear.
Ensure appropriate participant consent, privacy and safeguarding requirements are always followed.
Represent Paylos professionally while building positive relationships with participants, families, staff and community partners.
