? About the Role
This is a full-time, client-facing role based in our Kent Town showroom, combining lighting design, technical specification, and project ownership.
You'll work closely with homeowners, architects, landscapers, designers, and builders to plan, specify and deliver lighting solutions across high-end residential and light commercial projects.
From first conversation through to final switch-on, you'll be involved in the detail that makes a project work—both visually and technically.
This role suits someone who enjoys being trusted with responsibility, can think on their feet, and is confident stepping into professional environments to represent Allera and contribute real value.
As you grow, you'll take full ownership of projects and become a key point of contact for both clients and industry partners.
? Your Day-to-Day Might Include:
Leading client conversations and guiding lighting selections with clarity and confidence
Producing accurate, detailed lighting quotes and specifications
Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, elevations, and electrical layouts




Working directly with architects, designers, landscapers and builders to refine lighting outcomes
Attending meetings (may include offsite) and confidently representing Allera
Managing project communication across phone and email in a clear, professional manner
Maintaining a high standard across the showroom and overall client experience
? We're Looking For Someone Who:
Experience in lighting, electrical, architecture, interior design or technical sales
Strong ability to produce detailed, accurate quotes and manage project documentation
Confidence reading plans and understanding how lighting integrates into a build
Comfortable engaging with architects, designers, and trade professionals
Clear communicator who can build respect and trust across a range of personalities
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong computer skills (Mac, Google/Office, quoting systems)
Bonus: Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Vectorworks or similar
