About the OpportunityAre you a seasoned Systems Tester who thrives on data integrity and cloud architecture rather than routine web UI validation?
We are partnered with a prominent public sector department to secure a hands-on Systems Tester for a high-profile public-facing data platform project.
This platform provides specialized public access to high-resolution imagery, complex geospatial data models, and structured analytical pipelines.This is a targeted, high-impact assignment designed to add a critical layer of testing assurance to an already high-performing project team ahead of major release milestones.

What You Will Be DoingOperating autonomously but with strong support from the Project Manager and the implementation vendor's technical team, your scope will include:Data Correctness & Pipeline Integrity (Priority 1): Verifying medallion transformations (Bronze/Silver/Gold structures),



making sure structured data and imagery align perfectly to spatial metrics, checking data-classification boundaries, and validating that re-runs do not duplicate or corrupt data.Integration Seams (Priority 1): Ingestion testing across APIs under throttling conditions, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and deep-linking integrity.Non-Functional Testing (Priority 2): Conducting website performance smoke checks using Chrome DevTools/Lighthouse (or tools like JMeter/k6), evaluating responsive/touch behaviors on mobile/tablet devices, and performing a WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility smoke check.Defect Management: Logging, triaging, and retesting defects inside Azure DevOps, culminating in concise SIT and PVT summary reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Core Technical Stack & Experience:Testing Expertise: Proven track record in System Integration Testing (SIT) and post-deployment production verification (PVT) within Azure cloud environments.Data & API Testing: Hands-on experience testing complex data pipelines, ETL processes, and API integrations.Tooling: Strong, day-to-day familiarity with Azure DevOps for test design, planning, and defect tracking.Front-End Check: Experience managing cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and running WCAG accessibility compliance checks.Highly Regarded (Nice to Have):Hands-on exposure to Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Parquet files, and medallion data architectures.Experience utilizing open-source performance testing tools (e.g., k6, Apache JMeter).
Prior experience working within a State Government or public sector environment.
