ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for an experiencedInfrastructure Specialistto join our Infrastructure Protection team and play a critical role in managing the interaction between mining operations, communities, and the environment.
Reporting to theSuperintendent Infrastructure Protection, you will support the planning, assessment and coordination of practical measures to ensure the safety of properties, infrastructure and community assets in areas where there is underground mining.
This is a diverse role that combines technical engineering expertise, stakeholder engagement, project coordination and regulatory compliance to help deliver safe, practical and well-considered outcomes.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
Work with key stakeholders to manage public and private infrastructure, including roads, bridges, dams and other community assets during mining.




Conduct property inspections, investigations and risk assessments to ensure safety and serviceability of private property and infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineers, consultants, regulators, and landholders to interpret technical information and develop practical mitigation solutions.
Review and interpret subsidence predictions, survey data and technical documents to support informed decision-making, develop property and infrastructure management plans and respond to stakeholder enquiries.
Help develop practical measures to reduce potential disruption to properties, infrastructure and water-related assets such as dams, bores and drainage infrastructure.
Build constructive relationships with landholders, community groups and other stakeholders through clear communication and accountability.
Contribute to planning, financial forecasting, reporting and compliance activities in consultation with internal teams, regulators and external advisors.
Administer and maintain accurate records, databases and reports to support compliance, planning and continuous improvement.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be a technically capable professional who enjoys working across a variety of engineering, stakeholder and project-based challenges.
You will have:
Degree or Advanced Diploma in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering or Geology (or other related discipline).
Experience working in mine subsidence environments will be highly regarded.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and develop practical solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A collaborative approach and the confidence to influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
