About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and commercially sound tenders across a broad range of construction projects.
This role extends beyond estimating.
You will play an active part in business development, identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, attending industry networking events, and contributing to the growth of Streamline Contracting.
Working closely with our leadership team, you'll help shape our tendering strategy, identify emerging markets and support initiatives that strengthen our position in the WA construction industry.
Working collaboratively with operations, project delivery teams, suppliers and subcontractors, you'll help develop winning submissions while identifying opportunities to maximise value and minimise risk.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation
Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis
Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
Develop tender programmes and methodologies
Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
Prepare tender clarifications and exclusions
Attend site inspections and tender meetings
Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors




Assist with handover of successful projects to operations
About You
To be successful you'll have:
Previous experience estimating construction projects
Strong knowledge of earthworks, concrete, drainage, roads and infrastructure
Excellent understanding of construction methodology
Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
High level Excel and estimating software skills
Strong commercial awareness
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Based in Western Australia
Australian Citizen
Highly Regarded
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying
Experience pricing government and resource sector projects
Knowledge of Australian Standards and WA construction practices
Demonstrated experience using Buildsoft Cubit (Buildsoft Cubit Pro) estimating software.
