About the Role We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our boutique hotel in Hobart.
The successful candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences, lead the hotel team, maintain high operational standards, and drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities - Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
- Lead, train, and supervise reception, housekeeping, and maintenance staff.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Manage reservations, occupancy, and room allocation.
- Monitor hotel budgets, revenue, and operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Coordinate maintenance and supplier relationships.
- Prepare staff rosters and manage payroll requirements.
- Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Oversee online booking platforms and respond to guest reviews.
Skills & Experience - Previous experience in hotel or hospitality management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.




- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with hotel reservation/PMS systems.
- Sound knowledge of budgeting and business operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications - Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Current Australian work rights.
- First Aid Certificate (desirable).
