Take ownership of the site you're proud to maintainWe're seeking a hands-on, multi-skilled Site Maintenance Officer to look after the buildings, grounds, and infrastructure across our site.
This is a genuine handyman role for someone who takes pride in their work — combining trade-level skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance to keep the property safe, functional, and presentable.
You'll work largely autonomously, taking real ownership of the site's condition and getting ahead of maintenance issues before they become problems.

What you'll be doingNo two days will look the same.
Your work will span the full spectrum of building and grounds maintenance, including:
Preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces — walls, ceilings, doors, trims, and fascias
Applying protective coatings, sealants, and waterproofing treatments
Repairing plasterboard, gyprock, and rendered surfaces, including patching holes and cracks
Installing and repairing wall fixtures, brackets, shelving, and notice boards
Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing roof sheeting, ridge capping, and flashings
Clearing and maintaining gutters, downpipes, and stormwater drainage
Carrying out minor roof plumbing, including box gutter repairs and overflow management
General plumbing maintenance — repairing and replacing taps, valves, and fixtures
Diagnosing and repairing leaks in water supply lines and waste pipes
Clearing blocked drains, toilets, and sewer lines
Repairing and replacing doors, windows, frames, locks, and hardware
Constructing, repairing, and maintaining timber structures
Conducting building inspections and reporting on condition, defects, and recommended repairs
Maintaining common areas, amenities, car parks, pathways, and external grounds




Maintaining and repairing floor coverings, ceiling tiles, and internal fittings
Basic grounds tidying — mowing, hedge trimming, and weeding
Checking and maintaining outdoor lighting
Conducting routine safety checks and reporting hazards
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards
Keeping maintenance logs and completing work order requests
Liaising with external contractors for specialist repairs (electrical, gas, structural)
Responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff, tenants, or residents
Sourcing materials and managing basic stock of tools and supplies
Prioritising and scheduling repair jobs
Reporting larger issues to management for further action
What you'll bringPrevious experience in a hands-on building maintenance or facilities role
Demonstrated competency across multiple trades — painting, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
Robust practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to work autonomously
Good written and verbal communication skills for liaising with tradespeople and management
Trade qualification in Plumbing, Carpentry, or Building Maintenance (Certificate III or above)
Experience with a CMMS such as Maximo (advantageous)
Experience managing or supervising subcontractors (advantageous)
Confined Spaces certification (advantageous)
Asbestos Awareness training (advantageous)
