The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students and Education) brings together key functions to support student experience, learning and teaching and graduate outcomes across the institution.
The Pro-Vice Chancellor (Indigenous) and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) are responsible for leading strategic and operational initiatives across their respective areas.
They work collaboratively across Schools, Centres and professional units to drive institutional priorities and innovative change.
About the Opportunity
The University is seeking to appoint an experienced, highly organised and professional Executive Officer with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, strong initiative, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
This role is well suited to a proactive individual who thrives in a varied and dynamic environment, with experience in a large organisation.
This role will support the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Indigenous) and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching).
This is a diverse and rewarding role offering exposure to a broad range of strategic activities across the University.
About you




We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable professional with exceptional organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will enjoy supporting senior leaders, building effective working relationships, and working collaboratively to advance the University's strategic and operational priorities.
An understanding of, or a willingness to develop knowledge of, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories and perspectives, with the ability to engage and communicate in a culturally responsive and inclusive manner, is desirable.
The Executive Officer also undertakes a range of special projects and initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, event coordination, communications, and the preparation of reports and briefing materials.
Key Criteria – about the candidate
To be successful you will have experience in a similar executive support role and will demonstrate:
a thorough understanding in providing high-level executive support in a large organisation;
the ability to work in a confidential environment, exercising sound judgement, tact and discretion;
Excellent organisational skills;
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and
Understanding or willingness to develop cultural capability
