TheGreat Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authorityis responsible for protecting and managing one of Australia's most iconic coastal landscapes.
We care for parks, reserves and marine environments along the Outstanding Ocean Road, including internationally recognised visitor sites.
Working closely with Traditional Owners, communities and stakeholders, we protect environmental, cultural and heritage values while supporting sustainable visitation and long‐term conservation.
About the Role
The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking enthusiastic and safety-focused Traffic Services Team Members to support the daily operation of the Twelve Apostles Visitor Experience Precinct.
As a key frontline team member, you will help ensure safe, efficient and well-managed traffic and parking operations across one of Australia's most visited tourism destinations.
You'll play an important role in visitor safety, traffic flow, parking management and wayfinding, helping create positive first and last impressions for thousands of visitors each year.
This is a hands-on outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining safety standards.
What You'll Do
Direct vehicles safely through car parks and designated traffic areas.
Support parking allocation and manage vehicle flow during busy visitation periods.
Monitor parking capacity and communicate congestion or operational issues.
Provide friendly directions and wayfinding assistance to visitors.
Promote safe behaviour around roads, crossings and vehicle movement zones.
Support visitors with accessibility or mobility requirements.
Assist with signage placement, barriers, cones and temporary traffic management setups.
Identify and report hazards,



maintenance concerns and safety risks.
Support emergency procedures, evacuation routes and emergency service access when required.
Work collaboratively with Visitor Services and Visitor Experience teams to ensure smooth precinct operations.
Assist with operational activities across other GORCAPA sites and visitor attractions as required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who are reliable, approachable and confident working in a public-facing environment.
You'll bring:
Experience in traffic management, parking operations, events, visitor attractions, transport hubs, stadiums or similar environments (highly desirable).
A strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow procedures and identify risks.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear directions and remain calm under pressure.
The ability to manage visitor and driver interactions professionally and respectfully.
Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills when dealing with delays, congestion or changing conditions.
Knowledge of pedestrian safety, accessibility considerations and visitor-focused service delivery.
Physical capability to work outdoors for extended periods and safely move traffic management equipment such as cones, barriers and signage.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays and peak tourism periods.




Traffic Management accreditation or ticket (desirable but not essential - training can be provided).
A current Australian Driver's Licence.
Successful applicants will be required to obtain or provide:
