Keolis Bus South Australia and LinkSA are seeking an experienced and strategicHead of Assetsto lead our asset, maintenance and workshop operations across metropolitan and regional South Australia.
Reporting directly to the General Manager SA, this senior leadership role is responsible for the whole-of-life management of our fleet, depots, workshops and critical infrastructure, ensuring our assets are safe, compliant, reliable, sustainable and operationally ready to support the delivery of essential public transport services.

About the Role
As Head of Assets, you will provide strategic leadership across fleet maintenance, depot infrastructure, workshop operations and asset lifecycle management.
Working closely with Workshop Managers and senior business leaders, you will drive continuous improvement, optimise asset performance and ensure maintenance operations support operational and contractual requirements across the business.
The role will oversee metropolitan and regional workshop operations, fleet procurement input, capital planning, compliance, sustainability initiatives and asset-related stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead whole-of-life asset management strategies across fleet, depots and workshop infrastructure
Oversee workshop and maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective asset performance
Drive fleet availability,
reliability and maintenance outcomes across metropolitan and regional operations
Lead and develop high-performing workshop, maintenance and technical teams
Manage maintenance budgets, capital planning and lifecycle cost optimisation
Influence fleet procurement, replacement and specification decisions
Oversee depot infrastructure, workshop facilities and operational readiness
Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, environmental and contractual obligations
Manage supplier, contractor and service provider relationships
Establish and report on asset performance KPIs and risk indicators
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance systems and asset performance
Lead sustainability and environmental initiatives, including greenhouse and emissions reporting
Provide strategic and technical advice to senior leadership on asset risk, investment and long-term planning
About You
You are a collaborative and commercially minded leader with strong technical expertise and experience within heavy vehicle, transport or industrial asset environments.
You will bring:
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Demonstrated senior leadership experience in heavy vehicle, transport or asset-intensive industries
Minimum 3 years senior leadership experience in heavy vehicle, transport or asset-intensive industries
Strong background in maintenance management, workshop operations and asset strategy
Proven experience managing technical teams and operational performance
Experience in budget management, capital planning and lifecycle asset management
Trade qualification in heavy diesel mechanics, mechanical engineering, auto electrical or related discipline
HR or MR licence (or willingness to obtain)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
Tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management or related field
Experience within public transport or government-contracted service environments
Exposure to sustainability, environmental or emissions reporting frameworks
