About the Position
As aMobile Residential Support Worker, you'll travel to our residential care homes across Cape York to provide short-term support when services need extra capacity.
You'll step into established teams to provide day-to-day care for children and young people who need safety, stability and connection.
Every placement is an opportunity to build positive relationships, create a welcoming home environment and support children to heal, grow and stay connected to family, community and culture.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys variety, travel and working alongside different teams while making a lasting difference for children and families.

As a 24/7 service, we offer day, afternoon, overnight and sleepover shifts, with flexible rostering and appropriate breaks between shifts to support your work life balance.

Kowanyama
Napranum
Pormpuraaw
What to Expect
FIFO arrangements
Flights and accommodation provided
Deployments ofup to 4 weeks at a time, depending on operational needs
Sleepover shifts may be required
Work across different residential care homes based on service needs
What we Offer
SCHCADS Award Level 2.
Competitive hourly rates:$***** to $***** per hour (Casual) or $***** to $***** per hour (Part-time)



+ Superannuation + applicable penalty rates.
Versatile employment options:Casual and part-time* opportunities available.

Part time opportunities are offered on a fixed-term basis until 31 December ****, in line with the current Government funding agreement, with the possibility of extension.
About You
You don't need previous residential care experience.
You may have supported children, young people or families through work, caring responsibilities, community involvement or lived experience.
If you're the right person for the role, we'll provide the training, supervision and ongoing support you need.
We're looking for someone who:
Enjoys travelling and working across different remote communities.
Is adaptable and can quickly build positive relationships with children, young people and new teams.
Enjoys building respectful, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Can help create a safe, welcoming and well-organised home.
Works well as part of a supportive team.
Communicates well and keeps clear, accurate records.
Stays calm,



patient and supportive when children are experiencing challenges.
Demonstrates honesty, accountability and integrity.
Respects confidentiality and protects children's privacy.
Values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and is committed to learning and working in culturally safe and respectful ways.
Is open to learning about child development, trauma-informed practice and the child protection system.
