A fantastic opportunity is available for a Stock Hand to become part of our thriving farming operation at Gilbert & Light Regional Council Farms.
Key responsibilities:
Provide daily care (feeding, vaccinations, culling)
Monitor and maintain farm records
Perform routine farm maintenance
Operate tractors and farm machinery
Clean sheds and handle live birds
Load and unload trucks and equipment
Operate farm equipment and shed controllers
Assist with general farm operations and maintenance
Follow biosecurity, safety, and farm procedures
Perform other duties as required by management
Required skills (Must have):




Experience or ability to work with poultry and livestock
Knowledge of bird welfare and biosecurity practices
Ability to safety administer vaccinations and collect samples
Basic mechanical aptitude for farm maintenance
Competence operating tractors and farm machinery
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong awareness of workplace health and safety
Please note:Due to our strict biosecurity requirements, you must not have anybirds, pigs or poultryat home and be willing to maintain our quarantine policy and procedures.
To be eligible for this role, you must have legal right to work full time (without restrictions) in Australia at the time of application.
