Baker Advice Group is seeking an Accountant to join our friendly team.

This is a full time, in office role, working Monday to Friday alongside our accounting and advice teams.
The Role and Responsibilities
Working with the support of our senior accountants, you will be responsible for:
• Preparation of financial statements, tax returns and business activity statements across a range of business entities
• Assisting with the management of our client base across a variety of industries
• Identifying compliance concerns and opportunities as they arise
• Researching technical matters and helping prepare advice for clients




• Building your skills and knowledge through hands-on client work and regular mentoring
The successful applicant will have
• A degree qualification in accounting or a related field (or be nearing completion)
• Xero and XPM experience (preferred).
Experience with other cloud-based accounting programs is highly regarded
• A broad knowledge of Australian tax fundamentals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and a robust technical focus
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to build client relationships
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation and a genuine desire to learn and grow
