The Role
Reporting to the Integrity & Governance Manager, you'll lead Football West's specialist Disciplinary & Grievance function and provide day-to-day direction to the Disciplinary & Grievance team.
You'll oversee disciplinary, grievance and dispute matters across metropolitan competitions, manage tribunal and appeal processes, provide expert interpretation of Football West's Competition Rules and Disciplinary & Grievance Regulations, and work collaboratively with Football Operations, clubs and key stakeholders to ensure matters are managed fairly, consistently and efficiently.
You'll also play an important role in reviewing and improving regulations, identifying emerging risks and trends, and driving continuous improvement across the disciplinary function.

What you'll be doing
Lead Football West's disciplinary, grievance and dispute management across all competitions
Manage and mentor the Disciplinary & Grievance Officer while overseeing workload and quality assurance
Provide expert interpretation and advice on Football West Disciplinary & Grievance Regulations and Competition Rules




Coordinate tribunal and appeal processes, including hearings, evidence and outcomes
Review investigations, disciplinary decisions and correspondence to ensure consistency, quality and procedural fairness
Drive continuous improvement of disciplinary processes and regulatory frameworks
Analyse trends, risks and disciplinary data to improve consistency and operational effectiveness
Identify opportunities to improve disciplinary processes, systems and regulatory frameworks
Analyse disciplinary trends and prepare reports for Executive and relevant Committees
Build positive relationships with clubs, participants, officials and other key stakeholders
Support the ongoing review and development of Football West regulations in alignment with Football Australia requirements
Promote education, understanding and compliance across the football community
About You
You're an experienced professional who enjoys solving complex problems, interpreting regulations and making balanced, well-informed decisions.
You have strong technical expertise in governance, compliance, legal services, investigations,sport administration or another regulatory environment and are ready to takeownership of a specialist function.
While previous formal people leadership experience is beneficial, we're equally interested incandidates who have demonstrated leadership through mentoring colleagues, leading projects, managing complex work or influencing stakeholders, and are ready to step into a role with greater responsibility.
You'll bring
Experience managing disciplinary,



governance, compliance, legal or regulatory matters
Strong understanding of procedural fairness and regulatory frameworks
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
The ability to interpret legislation, policies or competition regulations
Experience managing sensitive or complex matters with professionalism and sound judgement
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
What you'll need
Eligibility to work in Australia
Current WA Driver's Licence
Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
National Police Clearance valid within one month(or ability to obtain)
