Description:
A rare and exciting opportunity exists for a committed and enthusiastic individual to become the Centre Manager of Macedon Ranges Montessori Preschool and lead our dedicated team as we continue to grow and strive to be a progressive and innovative community kindergarten.
We are looking for an strong leader to take ownership of this role, which will include being a Nominated Supervisor for our kindergarten.
You will work directly with the Committee of Management and be supported by existing staff to help the kindergarten's transition into this next exciting phase, and ensure that the service continues to operate smoothly and to a high standard in all respects.
Primary Objectives:
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of Macedon Ranges Montessori Preschool in Riddells Creek, Victoria, working collaboratively with the Approved Provider to provide high quality early childhood education and care that meets the needs of families.
The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Committee of Management, to manage the operational aspects of the Kindergarten and Early Learners program including helping to develop and deliver future strategies for the long term success of the Preschool.
They will support our existing Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader to provide effective educational leadership to the staff while working as a member of a team-oriented organisation.
They will operate in a professional manner at all times and ensure that the service meets the requirements of the Department of Education and Training (DET) Kindergarten Funding Guide, and functions in line with approved policies, procedures, and the Quality Improvement Plan of Macedon Ranges Montessori Preschool.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:




Working with the Committee of Management to ensure that the kindergarten continues to meet and exceed its obligations under all National Quality Standards (NQS) and applicable legislation (Fair Work Act, Child Protection Legislation, Work Health and Safety Act, Service Policies and Procedures)
Being a key contact for the kindergarten for relevant regulatory authorities (Department of Education and Training (DET), Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), Macedon Ranges Shire Council
Ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the kindergarten on behalf of the Committee of Management
Working with Committee members in relation to budgets, enrolment, compliance, and other areas as required and reporting regularly to the Committee of Management on the operations of the kindergarten; and
Supporting our existing Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader – promoting an understanding of the EYLF, keeping up to date with current research and resources relating to early years education, Montessori education, exploring opportunities for professional development, and ensuring policies and procedures are understood and implemented.
Effectively managing the kindergarten's various stakeholders (current and prospective families and children and staff, including managing the enrolment process)
Run payroll and Time and Attendance records
Day to day business administration tasks
Requirements:
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training (or willingness to become certified)
WWC (or equivalent) and National Crime Check
Foundations of child safety online training.
Experience as Centre manager or similar preferred

1:Demonstrated experience in an educational setting and commitment to ongoing continuous improvement consistent with the strategic direction and values of Macedon Ranges Montessori Incorporated (employer).
2:Understanding of and ability to implement sound human resources policies and practices relating to OH&S; and staff development,



including the day-to-day management of staff, in line with Centre policies.
3:Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Framework and Funding guidelines and how they influence the operations of the kindergarten
4:Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills including the capacity to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all staff, parents, and the broader community to focus on children's learning, wellbeing, and engagement.
5:Ability to take on the role of Nominated Supervisor
