The Role:
Location:Salisbury, Northern Suburbs
Duration:36-month Apprenticeship
As aCivil Construction Apprentice, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure projects within the local council area.
Under the guidance of experienced mentors, your responsibilities will include:
Operate major plant machinery – excavator, skid steer, roller and 3 tonne crane
Operate minor plant equipment – grinders, quick cut saw and vibe plate
Setup traffic management for construction activities
Minor road reconstruction and asphalt laying
Lay and repair stormwater pipes and drainage pits
About You:
To be successful in this Apprenticeship, you will:
Enjoy working outdoors in a team-oriented environment
Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
Be physically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual tasks
Have strong verbal communication skills
Be willing to learn and take initiative
Be driven and have a positive attitude
Role Requirements:
Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks




Willing to complete a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol screen
Previous labouring or industry experience (desirable)
