The Role
We are seeking adedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendantto join our team.
Reporting to the Boarding House Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, order, and presentation of student rooms and shared spaces — ensuring every resident enjoys a comfortable and welcoming environment.
This casual role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values high standards of presentation, and enjoys contributing to a positive community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain student rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a consistently high standard
Ensure housekeeping tasks are completed efficiently and with attention to detail
Maintain a secure, tidy, and welcoming environment that reflects SCC's values of care, community, and respect




Support the broader team in creating a warm and professional residential experience for all students
About You
You are reliable, organised, and motivated to deliver excellent service.
You take pride in your work, work well both independently and as part of a team, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to each day.
Selection Criteria
Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or student accommodation (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
Good judgement, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience in a residential or educational environment (advantageous but not essential)
Appreciation for presentation, cleanliness, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements
Flexibility to work variable hours when required
Essential:Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
Essential:Current National Criminal History Check (within the past 12 months, satisfactory)
Desirable:Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain/update)
