About the role
As a Shuttle Coordinator - Warburton Bike Park at Yarra Ranges Council, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of the shuttle bus operations that support rider access across the park's trail network.
This role is central to ensuring safe, efficient, and customer focused transport services, while overseeing scheduling, staffing, vehicle maintenance, compliance, and stakeholder engagement to deliver a high-quality experience for all park users.
As part of the Park's leadership team, you will also contribute to safety and emergency management planning and participate in a weekend and after-hours roster to enable effective seven-day-a-week management and timely response to incidents.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the operations of a landmark destination, working collaboratively to create exceptional outdoor experiences for the community and visitors alike.
This role will have 8-12 direct reports.
This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week).
This is a Band 6 role with a salary range rate between $98,432 and $107,292 per annum, plus superannuation.
Weekend work forms a regular part of this role to support peak visitation periods.
You can expect approximately 60 to 70 weekend days per year, depending on operational needs.

Experience and skills we're looking for
• Experience in collaborating with external stakeholders, including transport providers, community groups, and tourism partners.
• The ability to develop and implement initiatives to embed a customer-centric culture across shuttle operations.
• Build strategic relationships between one's area and other teams or departments to achieve business goals
• Ensure occupational health and safety standards are kept to a high standard.
• Develop and manage daily shuttle schedules to meet rider demand and trail access requirements, ensuring all shuttle services operate in compliance with safety regulations, licensing, and Council policies.
• Great organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with diverse customers.
• Ability to delegate decision-making authority and task responsibility for improving systems and processes.
• Lead, recruit, train, and supervise shuttle drivers and support personnel.
