Reporting to the Senior Project Manager our new Jnr Project Engineer will find themselves involved in project delivery, project cost control, resource management, client management, project reporting and close out, and overall project administration.
Adequate support will be provided for continued growth and development.
This is can be a great opportunity for an experienced site engineer or civil estimator willing to step into a junior project engineer (PE) role and grow into a project manager (PM).
Your duties will include:
Assist the project team in overall project delivery.
Adhere to company's safety policy and procedures.
Manage risk tracking process and implement mitigation strategies.
Using judgement to prioritise and escalate matters that may impact delivery.
Manage records and documentation, ensure record of activities is maintained at a high level of precision




Manage project scope and delivery.
This includes creating and managing project plan, define schedule, budget and resource allocation.
Control resources and expenses.
Prepare and track Extension of time and variation claims
Review all field QA records and manage electronic QA lot submissions and resolve any issues related to the submission until approval.
Assist with drafting TQs, NCRs, RFIs and follow-up until closed out.
Engage with customer and stakeholders, act as the point of contact to ensure requirements are being met.
Organise and manage team and customer meetings and record relevant actions.
Ensure project complies with contract requirements and design
Ongoing project planning, schedule tracking and commercial forecasting.
Assist with overall material procurement, production and supply.
To be considered you will need:
Preferred but not essential a degree in civil, structural or project management.
Absence of a degree can be substituted with relevant work experience.
A minimum of 2 of project engineering or management or estimating experience in civil.




Demonstrated project engineering/management experience using a variety of methodologies on a diverse range of projects with complexity in scope, size, timelines and/or number of stakeholders.
Highly developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style with proven ability to negotiate multiple stakeholders working toward a shared outcome.
Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
A high degree of initiative and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to quickly adapt to technological, structural and procedural changes, maintaining professionalism and flexibility
Ability to work independently and be an astute decision maker.
Understand scope and construction methodology to assess risks onsite
Implement safety measures to deliver a safe and quality statement of work.
