Salary: From $94,****** plus superannuation
Are you passionate about supporting artists and exhibitions, delivering engaging cultural programs and creating meaningful community experiences?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Arts Officer to join our Arts and Culture team and play a key role in delivering innovative arts initiatives that enrich our community.
About the role
As an Arts Officer, you'll play a key role in the coordination and delivery of arts and cultural programs, projects and community activations that align with the City's cultural vision.
Working collaboratively with artists, arts organisations, community groups and internal stakeholders, you'll support the delivery of initiatives that foster creativity, celebrate local talent and strengthen community connections.
You will support the day-to-day operations of the Creative Spaces, including customer service, youth arts programming and artist liaison.
You'll coordinate artist engagement, event logistics, promotional activities, program administration and evaluation, contributing to meaningful cultural outcomes across the City.
You will hold a key role in the management of the gallery and exhibition program, including the installation of artwork.
This role also provides the opportunity to contribute to special projects, represent the City at arts events and exhibitions, and support the ongoing improvement of arts and cultural programs through planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
About you
We're looking for someone who is cooperative, creative and highly organised, with a genuine passion for arts and culture and prior experience and expertise in visual arts.
You enjoy working with diverse stakeholders,



thrive in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
You will bring:
Experience coordinating arts, cultural or community programs, projects or events.
Practical knowledge of visual artforms and practices
Experience in installation or prior experience in gallery assistant roles
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Excellent organisational, administrative and project coordination abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports and promotional content.
The ability to work collaboratively while also managing tasks independently.
Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A commitment to delivering high-quality community outcomes through the arts.
Desirable:
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience working with young people.
Experience in curation and public programming.
