Skilled Beekeeper/Truck driver — Gundagai Bee Farms
Gundagai Bee Farms is a locally owned, family-run business that's been working with bees for almost 90 years.
We take pride in looking after our team and staying as flexible as possible for the people who work with us.
As we grow, we're looking for anexperienced, skilled beekeeperto join our operation and help lead the day-to-day work across our apiary sites.
This is a role for someone who already knows their way around a hive, takes pride in doing the job right, and wants to keep sharpening their craft.
? What You'll Do
Conduct thorough hive inspections and manage seasonal maintenance with minimal supervision
Oversee brood nest management, hive splitting, and re-queening programs
Harvest, extract, process, and package honey and other bee products to a high standard
Assess apiary sites for breeding conditions, forage quality, and honey production potential
Diagnose and treat honeybee diseases and pests, and advise on prevention strategies
Plan and carry out the loading and unloading of hives during migratory periods
Keep accurate, detailed hive and production records
Maintain and repair beekeeping equipment and apiary grounds
Mentor and guide less experienced team members on hive management practices
Help refine our operational processes as the business grows
? What We're Looking For
Proven, hands-on experience as a commercial or professional beekeeper(please let us know your years of experience)
Solid working knowledge of hive health, disease/pest identification and treatment, and queen management




Experience with migratory beekeeping operations preferred
Confidence working independently and making sound judgement calls in the field
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
No bee allergies, or the demonstrated ability to manage them safely (stings may occur)
A valid driver's licence (essential); heavy vehicle or forklift experience an advantage
Strong record-keeping and communication skills
Have a truck licence?

✈️ Travel Requirements
Willingness and ability to work away from home for periods of time, including overnight or extended stays, to support migratory beekeeping operations
Comfortable travelling to and working at various apiary sites as required
