The Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) is South

children's and young people's health services, delivering care
across acute, sub‐acute, community and statewide services.
WCHN
plays a critical leadership role within the health system and is
entering a period of significant reform and opportunity as it
prepares for major shifts in care delivery, digital enablement and
the future Women's and Children's Hospital.
The Scope of This Role
Based in Adelaide, the Advanced Divisional Nursing Director,
Division of Paediatric Medicine, leads nursing services across a
remarkably diverse portfolio encompassing critical care, emergency
medicine, oncology, adolescent services, hospital in the home, and
an expanding range of virtual and community-based models of
care.
This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the
future of paediatric healthcare delivery at a pivotal time.
WCHN is
preparing for the transition to the new Women's and Children's
Hospital while simultaneously redesigning services to deliver more
integrated, contemporary and accessible care closer to home.
The role
Operating in a co-directorship model with the Clinical Director,
the Advanced Divisional Nursing Director provides strategic and
operational leadership for the Division of Paediatric Medicine.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and professionally to the
Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery, the role leads clinical
governance, service transformation, workforce and resource
management, and drives safety,
quality and performance across
multiple paediatric specialty areas.
The role also leads workforce planning, service redesign and
performance improvement initiatives, with a focus on strengthening
leadership capability, improving efficiency, embedding robust
systems and progressing innovative models of care to support future
service delivery, including the transition to the new Women's and
Children's Hospital.
What You Bring
WCHN is seeking an accomplished nursing leader with strategic
insight, operational credibility and a strong commitment to
paediatric healthcare.
You will bring experience leading complex
clinical services, with demonstrated capability in service
improvement, workforce leadership and organisational change.
An authentic and visible leader, you will have strong
communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to build
trusted relationships, lead through complexity and foster
high-performing teams.
Experience in paediatrics or children's
services will be highly regarded, along with a genuine commitment
to shaping the future of statewide paediatric services in South
Australia.
Why the Women's and Children's Health
Network?
WCHN exists to deliver exceptional care to women, babies,
children, and young people across South Australia — a mission that
gives this role genuine meaning beyond the corporate functions it
supports.
As part of SA Health, you will have access to generous
salary packaging arrangements, professional development support,
and the stability of public sector employment.
The Network is known
for its collaborative culture and its commitment to embedding
equity and inclusion into everything it does.
This is a rare
opportunity to influence how a purpose-driven organisation leads
itself.
