Telecommunications Asset Manager
Perth | Major Infrastructure Projects
Metrowest Electrical and Commercial is expanding and we're seeking an experienced Telecommunication Asset Manager to lead the day-to-day management, performance, compliance, and strategic development of Metrowest's telecommunications asset management portfolio.
The role acts as the primary interface between clients, field operations, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring client-owned telecommunications infrastructure assets are managed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements.
The Telecommunications Asset Manager provides dedicated ownership and accountability for a growing portfolio of third-party telecommunications assets while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for portfolio growth and operational improvement.
About the Role
You will include the following key areas:
Asset Management
· Manage Metrowest's telecommunications asset management portfolio on behalf of clients and have oversight of asset performance, condition, compliance, and maintenance requirements.
· Develop and implement asset management plans and maintenance strategies and maintain accurate asset registers, maintenance records, and asset databases.
Client Relationship Management
· Act as the primary point of contact for asset management clients and develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
· Conduct regular client meetings and performance reviews and ensure contractual obligations and service level agreements are achieved.
Maintenance & Operations
· Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
· Manage maintenance schedules, work programs, and contractor performance.
· Ensure defects, outages, and asset issues are addressed within agreed response timeframes.
Compliance & Governance
· Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards, client specifications, and internal procedures.
· Monitor asset compliance requirements, inspections, certifications, and audit actions.
· Manage risk registers and identify emerging operational and compliance risks.
Financial Management
· Prepare and manage asset management budgets and forecasts and monitor maintenance expenditure and contract performance.
· Review and approve subcontractor quotations and invoices and support the preparation of client proposals, renewals, and contract extensions.
Reporting & Planning
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual asset management reports.
· Provide clients with asset condition assessments, maintenance performance reports, and lifecycle planning recommendations.
Core Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience within telecommunications infrastructure, maintenance, or asset management.
Strong understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure, towers, rooftop facilities, compounds, power systems, and associated assets.
Proven client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing maintenance programs and subcontractors
Desirable experience with / in:
ISO Asset Management principles and systems.
Managing telecommunications assets for Tier 1 carriers, infrastructure owners, or government agencies.
Lifecycle planning, capital forecasting, and asset optimisation
Qualifications
Qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management, Telecommunications, or a related discipline (desirable)
