This isn't a desk-based compliance role.
Around*****% of your time will be spent in the field, coaching drivers, conducting practical assessments, completing ride-alongs, and helping our teams operate safely, professionally, and efficiently.

About the Role
Reporting to the Operations team, you'll partner closely with Operations, HSEQ, and subcontractor drivers to improve driver capability, transport compliance, and operational performance across South Australia.
You'll become the go-to person for driver coaching, practical training, and transport compliance, while helping embed ResourceCo's safety values across our growing transport network.
What You'll Be Doing
Spend approximately *****% of your time in the field supporting drivers across multiple sites and projects.
Deliver practical driver training on ResourceCo systems, policies, procedures and operational requirements.
Build trusted relationships with drivers and subcontractors while promoting a positive safety culture.
Coach, mentor and support drivers to continually improve capability, confidence and safe work practices.
Conduct driver competency assessments, ride-alongs and practical coaching sessions.
Complete truck inspections and pre-start checks with drivers.
Train drivers on safe loading, unloading and site-specific operating procedures.
Reinforce project requirements and client expectations through practical coaching.
Educate drivers on Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR obligations and positive safety behaviours.
Deliver driver inductions, toolbox talks and operational training.




Assist with ResourceCo and third-party contractor onboarding and compliance systems.
Monitor driver performance, investigate trends and work with Operations to continually improve transport safety.
Work collaboratively with Operations and HSEQ to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
You'll be someone who naturally builds rapport with drivers and enjoys coaching others rather than policing them.
You'll understand that strong relationships are the foundation of great safety outcomes.
You'll also bring:
Experience within heavy vehicle transport, logistics, civil construction, waste or resource recovery.
Robust knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR legislation.
Experience coaching, mentoring or supervising heavy vehicle drivers.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence working independently across multiple operational sites.
A practical, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for improving driver capability
Highly Desirable
Experience operating truck and trailer combinations.
Ability to conduct practical driver competency assessments.
Heavy Vehicle licence.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
Experience using telematics and transport compliance systems.
Experience supporting Tier 1 construction or infrastructure projects.
