Associate Nursing-Midwifery Unit Manager LV2, $107,487 to $114,917 + 12% Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits

About the role The Associate Midwife Unit Manager provides leadership and operational support to ensure the delivery of safe,
high-quality, person-centred nursing and-or midwifery services.
The role supports workforce capability through mentoring, education and performance development, promotes continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice, and works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve service objectives and maintain professional standards.
Key duties of the role Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing-midwifery care and-or individual case management to patients-clients in a defined clinical area Assists and supports the Nurse-Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience Participate in clinical auditing, clinical trials and-or evaluative research promotes continuity of care by providing clinical leadership, supporting patient flow, and acting as a knowledgeable resource for the team Skills and Experience Registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold,
a current practicing certificate Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in midwifery or nursing practice Demonstrated competence in relevant clinical area in line with professional standards of practice Current knowledge of healthcare legislation, skilled standards, and quality improvement systems Relevant qualification in nursing and-or midwifery (Bachelor level or equivalent) Enquiries can be directed to Jennie Magor Want to learn more about career opportunities at WCHN?
