join the Fleet team within the South Australian Government
Financing Authority at the Department of Treasury & Finance for a
12-month period.
Remuneration:ASO7 – Salary Range
($112,163 - $121,246 p.a).
About the opportunity:
The Department of Treasury and Finance is the lead agency for
economic, digital and financial policy outcomes.
We play a vital
role in providing financial services to the community and economic
and fiscal policy advice as well as digital services to the
Government of South Australia.
The Department of Treasury and

The South Australian Government Financing Authority (SAFA) is
the central financing authority, captive insurer and manager of the
passenger and light commercial fleet operations for the Government
of South Australia.
It also provides extensive financial advisory
services to the South Australian public sector.
The Contract Manager, Fleet leads and delivers a range of
cutting-edge, complex and/or critical outcomes, including the
establishment, transition and management of tasks relating to the
procurement and contract management activities of the South
Australian Government's passenger and light commercial motor
vehicle fleet.
The Contract Manager, Fleet will be required to work
extensively with suppliers, customers and internal and external
stakeholders.
About you:
You are solutions-driven, curious, innovative,
team-oriented and purposeful.
Ability to build credibility and rapport with senior
stakeholders both within the organisation and outside, in such
a way as to develop trust and cooperation, including the
ability to design and execute stakeholder communication so that
expectations are effectively managed.
Ability to understand the nature of Government or complex
organisations and to respond appropriately to matters of




political sensitivity.
To be successful you will:
Completed or working towards a bachelor's degree in
Procurement or Supply Management, Law, Finance or Business
Management, or a commercial background with up to three years'
experience with similar complex or across government
procurement and contract management responsibilities.
Provide leadership, advice and assistance to support the
capability development of staff assisting with procurement and
contract management initiatives within the team.
Significant experience in managing the end-to-end
procurement process for a variety of categories, particularly
managing complex categories and/or supply markets with limited
competition, and in managing multiple projects and scheduling
activities.
Experience in advising others on appropriate market
approaches, including approaches other than tendering, such as
direct negotiation, competitive dialogue, reverse marketing
and/or supplier development.
