With an established international footprint and deep technical expertise derived from its European headquarters, the group manufactures, delivers, and services highly engineered packaged plant solutions worldwide.
The Australian subsidiary is undergoing a rapid and dynamic expansion phase, transitioning from an agile startup presence into a highly structured, scalable market player backed by robust international engineering capability and product portfolios.
Mission:
The successful candidate will take full strategic and hands-on ownership of the Australian sales function to drive the business through its next phase of commercial growth.
Operating as a critical leadership figure, the individual will build structural sales processes, lead and coach a high-performance local sales team, and secure a robust pipeline of multi-million-dollar energy infrastructure projects across the region.
The primary objective is to build long-term, trusted market partnerships and translate highly complex technical engineering solutions into high-value, sustainable commercial contracts.
Responsibilities:
Lead comprehensive business development and sales activities across the Australian market.
Collaborate with regional and global leadership to execute structured sales methodologies aligned with rapid business growth.
Supervise, mentor, and actively coach the local sales team, establishing skilled discipline, setting clear strategic priorities, and driving accountability.
Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of qualified opportunities within diverse industrial sectors,



including wastewater treatment, food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, utilities, and resource recovery.
Cultivate deep, long-term technical and commercial relationships with senior corporate executives, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, developers, and utility providers rather than managing short-term transactional client interactions.
Partner extensively with local and international engineering, project delivery, service, and finance departments to guide clients through complex feasibility assessments and synthesise customised, high-value technical proposals.
Supervise rigorous pipeline tracking via CRM systems, oversee strict risk management protocols, maintain healthy profit margin awareness, and spearhead high-stakes contract negotiations.
Requirements
Proven background in senior B2B technical sales, business development, or commercial leadership, dealing with long sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and high-value capital equipment or engineering-led infrastructure projects.
Experience or exposure in fields such as distributed energy solutions, power generation, industrial equipment, gas processing, waste-to-energy, wastewater infrastructure, or sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives.
While a formal engineering qualification is not strictly required, the individual must exhibit deep technical curiosity, commercial acumen, and the credibility required to navigate plant rooms, agricultural facilities, and corporate boardrooms alike.
Demonstrated capability to guide, manage, and coach a sales team, establishing clear structure, pipeline discipline, and repeatable commercial processes.
High level of personal initiative, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset.
Willingness to travel extensively (minimum 50% travel requirement) across domestic client locations and attend key industry forums.
