Role Description The Cellar Door role we seek to fill is a casual position based at the cellar door in Pokolbin, NSW.
Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming guests to the cellar door, conducting wine tastings, sharing product knowledge, and providing an engaging, informative experience for visitors.
The role involves handling sales transactions, managing bookings and maintaining a clean, organised cellar door space.
The team member may support events and tastibgs as required from time to time.
Collaboration with the cellar door team members is essential to ensure consistent service standards and a positive, memorable experience for all guests.
Qualifications Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly with diverse visitors.Sales and point-of-sale experience, including handling payments, processing orders.Wine knowledge or a strong interest in learning about Hunter Valley varieties, tasting techniques, and food and wine pairing.Organisational and time management skills to manage busy periods, bookings, and cellar door presentation standards.Comfort with basic digital tools and administration, such as email.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.Previous experience in a cellar door, bar, restaurant, or retail environment is highly regarded but not mandatory.Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification for NSW, or willingness to obtain it prior to commencement.
