About the Role
The Grade 3 Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision of specialist occupational therapy services to consumers in the Acute Inpatient Service which includes support to the group program that runs 7 days a week.
In conjunction with team members the Occupational Therapist will engage, support and provide appropriate interventions with consumers presenting with complex needs and support their carers.
Your Contribution
Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current Occupational Therapy Board of Australia registration (AHPRA)
Experience in the provision of occupational therapy assessment and intervention for consumers with a serious mental illness and complex needs and their carers.
Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively consult, prioritise and liaise with consumers, carers, family members, community agencies and other professionals.
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain.

The adult mental health service components are: The Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), the 44 bed Acute Inpatient Service (AIS) located on the St. Vincent's Hospital site, the North Fitzroy PARC and two community mental health services (CMHS) at Hawthorn and East Melbourne (Clarendon CMHS).
