About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with department leaders, you will lead all aspects of the People & Culture function across the hotel.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, build capability, foster engagement, and create an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through to career development.
You'll be the trusted advisor to leaders, champion our culture, and ensure our people practices support both our business objectives and our commitment to being an employer of choice.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the development and implementation of People & Culture strategies aligned with business goalsDrive recruitment, onboarding, and talent attraction initiatives to build high-performing teamsPartner with leaders to provide coaching, guidance, and support on employee relations mattersManage compliance and ensure alignment with employment legislation and HIGADeliver learning and development initiatives that support career growth and succession planningCreate engaging recognition, wellbeing,



and team engagement programsSupport performance management processes and leadership capability developmentEnsure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and best practicesReview and enhance HR policies, procedures, and systemsPrepare and analyse workforce metrics and reports to support informed decision-making
About you :
You are a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building positive workplace cultures.
You will bring:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline3–5 years' experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture leadership roleStrong understanding of Australian employment legislation, workplace relations, and modern awardsExperience managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management processesExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExperience working with HRIS and payroll systemsA proactive, solutions-focused approach and sound commercial acumenConfidence coaching and supporting managers across all areas of people leadershipHospitality, hotel, tourism, or customer-facing industry experience will be highly regarded.
